Everyday Green Smoothie

I love a smoothie, it’s a quick and delicious way to get a boatload of nutrients in! I’ve been having a green smoothie almost daily since college. I noticed that I felt fresher, more awake, and clear minded when I incorporated a smoothie into my daily routine. Especially as someone who was pretty much scared of the color green I had to find way to bring more veggies into my diet without sacrificing taste! Getting your day started with veggies, minerals, and hydration sets you up for success and stops the unhealthy sweets craving. I sip on this smoothie throughout the morning and it keeps me full and satisfied unlike a bowl of cereal which leaves me starving just an hour or two after eating.

Ingredients-

1 cup of mango

2 handfuls of kale

2 tbsp of hemp hearts of chia seeds

3-4 stalks of celery

1/2 lemon juice

2 cups of water - add more or less depending on what you like

Bonus- add a tbsp of your favorite protein powder

*blend together and enjoy*

Protip- Blend everything first then add protein powder and do a 10 sec blend again. This stops the weird bubbling that protein powder can do which affects the texture!
